We have provided a access with windows authentication to user for a database in SQL server 2005. When user tires to connect to a database using WInSQL lite tool. He is getting an ODBC error stating SQL Error state:28000,Native error code:4818,ODBC error : [Microsoft ][ODBC SQL server driver][SQL version] login failed for user'XXXX'. Does the user have to change the authentication mode in the concnetion string...Since i'm new to this tool.Can anyone help on how to fix this.

You need to specify Windows Authentication in your ODBC setup. If your ODBC setup is configured to use SQL server authentication, you will run into this error.
